What does everyone have theirs set at?? Im a bit lost with it, MFP set me up on some crazy looking percentages.

They set me with really low protein... I should be around 60g of protein a day, so I altered that percentage to what Id like but then it put me super high in carbs. I want to work around the protein and then figure out a good percent for fat and carbs, but Im lost where those should be at. Any help appreciated! :) :S

I'm happy with 40c/30f/30p, or close. I am better satisfied by protein, so I'm using the formula of 1g protein per pound of LBM, 1/2g fat per pound of LBM, and the rest carbs. For me, that tends to sum out to @ 40/30/30.

    P.S. I'm 54, 5'9".
  • I reset my goals about 10 days ago to boost my weight loss . . . I had lost 29 pounds in 4 months but many weeks I was just losing 2/10 of pound. I did a lot of research online that weekend and I too came up with the targets of 1g protein per lb of LBM and .45g fat per lb of LBM. This worked out to be more like 30% carb/35% fat/35% protein for me. I instantly saw results with 1.5 pounds dropped in the first week after reset. I feel good with the higher protein than was originally suggested by MFP and I think my body responds better to the lower carbs for now.

You will just need to find what works for you. Start with 1g protein/.45g fat per lb of LBM and adjust from there.
