I used to calculate this all myself and write this down in a notebook and today I confused the crap out of myself.
My BMR is 1740
MFP gives me 1600 to eat everyday
and my TDEE is 2360

BUT
if I eat 1600 a day-1740= is only -140. So technically don't I need to up my workouts and get to -500 a day then?

Thanks all!

Your deficit comes from your TDEE, not your BMR.

    2360 - 1600 = 760, or about 1.5 pounds a week.
