Ive been pretty steadfast in my MFPing for over 200 days. Alot happened in a two week period; I moved into a small old rental home that needed a lot of work, 40 percent of the staff was let go at my work; I was promoted and have been pulling double shifts almost every day, I got really sick-fever throwing up, cough and all that jazz but still had to work double shifts. I got so caught up in everything that I got away from the basics. I went through a really hard time about 6 months ago-a bad car accident that changed my life. Working out has been a huge part of my life since then. It gave me something positive to do, something I had control over and something to replace the drinking. This last week I got away from it. I was sick and tired and threw in the towel. I also ate Taco Bell :( and drank Sprite which I havent done since I started my journey. I also stopped tracking on MFP. The last month or so I would log on to MFP but would only log food hit and miss. I then decided to let my streak go, take a few days off and restart. This is more for me I guess, a promise that I will not go down the vicious spiral of bad food and no exercise. Ive lost 17 pounds and have about 8 more to go. I dropped 2 pants sizes and kick *kitten* at p90x. I dont want to lose that!!! Thanks MFP for being here when I was ready to come back!!

PS...Even though Im dissapointed in my self for slipping I am proud of my self not drinking or turning back to drugs. This weight loss thing is a journey and life happens; at least I found my way back and thats what we all need to remember!!!

this was so easy in the begining...good for you taking back your control...never a better day to start over...i love seen your progress....keep your head up...maybe i need to start over and get out of my food relapse...
  • I think the "newness" helped make it easier in the begining. I decided to let it restart so I could mentally restart. I didnt want to get stuck back in the rut of Taco Bell and no exercise and back track all the work Ive done. Its only "Day One" but I am confident Ill get another good run going!!

Sometimes people need a restart so don't feel bad or disappointed, you are getting back on track and that is what matters :)
