Freshman 15

Hi, I am new to MFP. I just started because I am a freshman in college and I have already gained 10 pounds in two months and am on my way to my freshman 15. I decided I did not want this to happen and I want to make healthy choices for a healthy life.

I have not been holding myself accountable for what I ate. I only would say what I ate for for my meals as what I ate for the day because I wasn't ready to be fully honest to myself but now I am. I want to hold myself accountable for everything I eat through out the day good and BAD! I also want to give myself credit for when I work out. I think seeing how food and exercise correlate will help me realize what I am doing right or wrong.

I really hope I can have the drive to lose what I have and to push myself to keep the weight off and remain healthy. I really think MFP can keep me inspired and show me my goals are in sight! :)

I gained the Freshman 13 last year...mostly due to a break up. I know that it helped me to have some sort of active activity and to keep a scale around. I've since lost my freshman weight and ten pounds. Add me if you like!

First off, pat yourself on the back for taking notice NOW and not after you're done with your first year! Then it's just a slippery slope after that! Especially you'll get caught up in exams and partying, so you'll take off those 10 pounds in no time!!

Use this app often while in college!! It'll save you a lot of misery later!
