Zumba - The Miracle Workout!

I've been going to Zumba for about a year off and on...more off than on, however...its estimated that one could burn 1,000 calories in one workout. I'm assuming that's at a high intensity level. My calorie counter/HRM watch said only 73 calories burned when I used it that ONE time. Should I wear my watch more often to get a more accurate reading? I did the Zumba workout at about mid-level.

Only 73 calories in an hour? That is not right. I wear a polar heart rate monitor and for a good workout I burn between 500-600 calories in an hour. Depends on your weight/age and intensity. Hope that helps.0
