Hi! My name is Michele. Over 3 years ago, I stepped on the scale and it said 217lbs. Right there I made a change that affected my life. I then lost almost 50lbs by just cutting my calories and working out 30 min/a day for about 4 days a week. However, I was a smoker. I decided to quit smoking 2 years later and gained it ALL back and then some! I am now at a disgusting 260lbs and I am determined to lose it all again! My new goal is 80lbs. I am new to myfitnesspal.com and would like to make friends that are going through the same things I am. It will be harder for me this time because my schedule is hectic with work and school. There is no routine. So, here I am! Wish me luck and I hope to talk to you all!

Hey!
I am pretty new to this site too. I have a rather large amount of weight to lose myself...blah! But, we can do it! I am pretty busy too BUT sometimes I think that helps me the most. I do the worst on the weekends when I am not on such a strict schedule!
Good luck with your weight loss!0 -

Good luck! If you've done it once you know you can do it again. I too lost a lot years ago & gained it back & more. Acutaully I've been eating healthy now & exercising for 2 years now and have lost 70 pounds, but still have about 50 to go. No numbers needed! You can tell I really gained it back. I just joined here a few days ago hoping it helps somehow since I've been stuck for weeks now. But I won't do anything I can't do for life just to go off and gain it back again. I too use Jillian workouts, go to a trainer once a week, use WII and just about anything I can think of that sounds like fun for the day.0

Your story sounded very familiar - can't count the number of times I have lost and gained it back. I am having sucess this time at losing/keeping it off & determined to win the "battle of the bulge". Good luck to you.0

I have hit an all time high and can't believe I'm here. I have been around this game, at 50 years old I have tried them all! I do find the ease of tracking my days helpful especially when I think I blown it only to find it wasn't as bad as I thought which keeps me in the game instead of throwing in the towel. We have similar goals so good luck to us both!!0

Hi, New too. Started Jan 18th with a goal of loosing 100 lbs by Jan 18, 2011. So far I have lost 18 lbs and not starving. It has been hard especially at work for lunches since we usually all get together and order in. I am now learning to have a back up lunch in the case that they are ordering from a place that has no nutritional values listed making it virtually impossible for me to order something. Or if its getting really close to noon and lunch plans have not been made. I also take a snack or two. Good luck on your journey.0
