    Australian

My favorite  I've been wanting to move to Australia and live/work for a year or three.

I'm from Texas so I have a Southern draw, although it's not as thick as some folks from down here since I live in Houston and work in a professional environment, I've thinned it out some.

My accent is mostly eastern PA (near philly) - which is where I am from. And I have a little of this dialect that I am not even sure where it's from that I picked up from my mom and I am sure she got from my grandma (I have to ask her where it's from) but only on some words. Everyone teases me when those words come out.

I live in Bucks county, we are almost neighbors.

I had to respond when I read this. I grew up in Warrington, bucks county PA. I have since moved to Indiana and then to Chicago area. It cracks me up because people around here ask if I'm from jersey! They think of the real housewives of NJ show and tell me I sound like them. I'm horrified when they tell me this! But then they always say "but you don't act like them or dress like them." :noway: :noway: My parents grew up in Philly. But I can't believe I sound like I'm from jersey. I need to get a vocal coach. Maybe I can learn to speak in a southern drawl.
P.s. I'm not Italian descent. I'm Irish Hungarian.

haha hey as long as they dont think you're a Jersey driver lol

Heinz 57 english accent. But I have a question, has anyone ever had their accent mistaken for another? My accent has been mistaken for Australian

I also have an English accent (I'm originally from Norfolk but have lived in London for 10 years). I have been mistaken for an Aussie many a time!

I grew up in Washington state but have lived in Kentucky for about 18 years. I have a northwest accent (I been asked several times if I am from Canada) but confuse people when I use the term y' all. I cannot seem to break that, it is infectious...lol

I lost my Russian accent. Sometimes people can hear the Southern accent coming out from my Texas days.
