Looking for accountablity

I know a LOT about dieting and how to lose weight. I love to cook and can find ways of cutting calories from my favorite recipes. I have pretty good self control. What I don't have is support. I have very few friends that really know me, and I'm embarassed to tell them I'm yet again on another weight loss plan. If you need someone to share ups and downs and are in this for the long haul, let me know and we can set up a weekly weigh-in and other ways to keep ourselves motivated. ~Rachel

Welcome to the crazy side of life change Rachel! Always happy to be accountable to someone other than myself roflmao....Just achieved my first 50lb goal, and am now working towards my 2nd....Overall I have about 75-90lbs to lose, I haven't decided where I will be more comfortable, so the short side of that stick is that Im working towards my next 50lb goal and Ill figure out the final destination later LOL.

I'm interested to know what you know about dieting and how to lose weight.

edit - this is not meant to be snarky. I think a lot of people here THINK they know how to lose weight and are surprised when they actually don't.

What I meant was I have lost (and gained) over a hundred pounds of weight over my lifetime , so I don't need much advice on dieting at this point in my life. I just need supportive ppl and accountability to stick with my weight loss plan. Thanks for asking. ~Rachel
One more thing - I have read dozens of diet/food/emotional eating books and have come to my own conclusion that there is no one way to do it, but we each have to find the plan that is right for ourselves. I personally need to eat about 1500 cals/day, with less than 30% fat and as much fiber as I can get.

I agree on there being more than one way to do this. Certainly there are guidelines, but plenty of wiggle room between them.

IF you're interested (and I'm not sure if you are) there are some great threads here. I'd recommend searching:

In Place of a Road Map (just read the OP, it's worth the time I promise)
New Rules of Lifting for Women -or- StrongLifts

    Good luck.

Thanks, peuglow. I am still interested in good advice ;) just a bit leery of folks who think they are helping when they suggest the latest fad diet.

TBH, the word diet is stricken from my vocabulary. I'm a personal trainer and coach, but nutriton isn't my strongest suit. Helloitsdan and SideSteel are 2 awesome guys on here that can help.

Check out those threads, I bet you'll find some very useful info, and nothing that is like a 'fad diet'
