Hello! Im new and I want to be less wobbly ;D

Hello everyone, Im looking to hopefully shift about a stone in weight and tone up. Toning up is probably the main thing, tbh! As Ive written in my 'about me' bit - running is my activity of choice (plus Im skinto) however I have a huge problem with motivation (i.e I have none) More so now the mornings and evenings are pretty dark and grim.

Anyway Im looking forward to making some friends on here, and giving and providing support :)

Yes I should do... I start to do half decent and then give up for some reason.. dont really know why that is.

The worst thing is making yourself get out the door really, its never so bad once youre out is it lol

    Thanks for your post

I LOVE to run... :) Welcome aboard and you can DO IT!!! Yes, Winter months are not as fun b/c it's dark in the morning and evenings, so I end up running on the dread..um, I mean treadmill during the week but we still try to get out to the Lake or some other natural trail to run on the weekends.

Welcome to MFP. Its a great site and I can honestly say that I have received a ton of support since I've been here. You have to find the "fuel for your flame", I always tell my clients this. For me my motivation was my children. Anytime I feel like not working out or running, I just think of them and how badly I want and need to be around for them as well as set a good, healthy example.

Thankyou. Yes thats very true. I have 2 young 'uns and know that this is the right thing for all of us. Last weekend I took my son out for his first 'proper' run... he was so excited as he's wanted to come out running with me for ages (hes 6) It was obv just a little jog and he set the pace etc It was lovely.

Ive ran on and off for years, I seem to always hit a point where I give up. I guess half the battle will be finding out why that is!
