vegetarians??

Never been a fan of meat, ate chicken but not much. I have decided to give it up. Any vegetarians out here? What kind of vegetarian are you?

Hello!! I have never been a fan of meat either - I have been vegetarian for 5 years now. Here lately, I have been feeling guilty about eggs and cheese, so they are limited.
  • I have been a vegetarian throughout my life! I have legumes lentils nuts and dairy products for protein

Hi there. I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian. It's really not that difficult. Working on cutting back on the dairy right now though.

I get my B12 thru B 12 Sublingual tablets. There are several good ones out there you can take.

If you have been a vegetarian your whole life, you must be getting it somewhere.
I'd like to know the veg. source too.

I gave up everything but the occasional fish a few months ago and am slowly stopping that as well and I have never felt better. I know that doesn't make me a vegetarian but I'm slowly getting there. I eat a lot of spinach/kale/arugala salads, beans, eggs, nuts and greek yogurt and occasionally use a vegan protein powder after workouts for additional protein if I'm feeling low. Cutting meat out of my diet was a million times easier than I ever thought it could be and I couldn't imagine turning back.
  • I'm a pescatarian.
Never liked meat, I don't judge people that eat meat though. Whatever works for them you know? (:
I was vegetarian for 5 years and recently started eating fish again because I need the protein and don't have a problem with eating fish.
I only drink almond milk and occasionally eat eggs. I've never liked cheese so I don't eat that.

    ovo-lacto myself.
No meat, no fish, no gelatine, no animal-rennet.

I'm healthy and happy with that.
Btw my spouse is an absolute carnivore. ;-)

I'm a vegetarian too, for about a year. Great decision. I was never a fan of a lot of meat, I enjoyed hamburgers and chicken but that's it. I have found veggie burgers and fake chicken to be delicious :).
I try not to eat dairy and eggs though. I will on occasion though. Pizza is my weakness. And like, for Thanksgiving, my mom brought up pies that were made with eggs and I will eat that. I don't buy dairy products or eggs for myself though.

Edit: My boyfriend is a vegetarian too although he doesn't have any problems with eating dairy, but he avoids eggs as much as possible too.
  • Thanks for your responses :)
  • im a vegan. if you have any q, feel free to ask! :)

Hi, I am a vegetarian vegetarian! The kind that doesn't eat meat. Or eats chicken and fish and pretends they aren't meat. I do eat eggs, but only free range, and not often, and I have dairy, but am trying to cut right down (partly because it makes me sick). I don't eat gelatine, mono and diglycerides of fatty acids or rennet.

B12 deficiency isn't an issue for vegetarians. Vegans can suffer from it if they don't eat yeast products, such as marmite, but it's very rare.
