I was wondering how long it takes for Muscle to turn to fat again. I haven't exercised in a while due to some medical issues I would like to try and walk some today but not sure if I can.
Thank you for your help.

Hi. Muscle doesn't actually turn into fat- it gets smaller and weaker over time...how long that would take would vary. Take your time, and build your strength back up again. Good luck.0

If you got hurt, reajust your goals accordingly. If it's done right, you might loose a little weight due to muscle lost but you shouldn't build a lot of fat.
Good luck, get well soon!

They're made up of two completely different things in the body so it's impossible for them to turn into each other. Protein is made up of amino acids and fat is made up of lipids.
If you have been inactive then you are probably just losing muscle tissue. This muscle fiber doesn't disappear, the fiber gets thinner circumference-wise making it look smaller.0
