Any 40s out there?

Whooo! At 43, most of my friends are just now having kids.

Me? Empty-nesting and picking up the pieces from decades of burning the candle @ both ends, not eating properly (more than 90% bready carbs when I ended up in the hospital), and not sleeping more than 2-4 hours a night. Medical outcome: high intracranial pressure, adult Rickets, low calcium, low iron - and did I mention utterly screwed metabolism?

Soooooo...I'm relearning the whole 9 yards. How to exercise when you can't just go out & jog 3 miles. How to eat 3X a day or more often. De-stressing. There's decades of wrongness to be undone *wry grin*.

Excited to be here, and finding MFP is exactly what I need to balance food, key nutrients, and exercise. 'Cause doing it on my own wasn't happening!
