The scale

How often does everyone weigh in...I was going to wait until my next doc appointment and go by that..But I think I may need to invest in a scale. If I wait ..Its not for a total of six weeks...Just wondering how often everyone updates there scale/weight loss on here

    I don't own a scale. My gym has a doctor's type scale so that is the only one I use (that type of scale is supposed to be the most accurate). I weigh myself about once a week.

    I weigh once a day, I bought a cheap little IKEA scale for 7.99 and use that, when I get up in the morning. I also use the one at the gym if I go that day.

    I weigh myself everyday, just because I am curious and over a period of time it has let me see what works and does not work for me. But, you have to be careful not to get obsessive when weighing every day, and not worry about fluctuations. It is hard not to worry!

    In terms of tracking, I used to just put my weight in to MFP whenever, now I do it every Friday, unless it has not changed or has gone up slightly. I know some people do it regardless of the changes, but if I have not lost I just do not put in a weight for that week.
  • I started weighing and logging my weight daily on MFP, then the fluctuations drove me nuts! Now even though I STILL weigh myself daily, I log it in every Mondays. I'm a little obsessed with numbers so it's hard for me to fight the urge but I feel once a week is good enough. Which ever you choose, just be consistent, or at least that's what I was told. :)
