Whats the deal... hoping someone could explain to me the clories remaining counter. Is that the amount of calories i should be eating or should i stay below that??? is a goal or just a way of measuring your consumption???

that's the amount of calories you have left to eat that day. every time you log something you've eaten, that number should get smaller. It will turn to red with a negative sign in front of it if you've gone over your calories for the day. You don't want to go over, but stay under like you said.0

You want to be as close to 0 remaining calories at the end of your day as possible.0
