Ok so I keep seeing people talking a lot about Macros on this website so I figure they must be important!

Sorry to sound stupid but can someone please explain what they are?

Thanks! :glasses:

Marcos are protein, carbs and fat. Based on your goals you set what % of your diary is what. Examples runners need to eat more carbs to give them energy so they may have their carb marco set at 55%.

I'm working on shedding a little more fat, firming up with strength training, etc. but maintaining my overall weight -- so, I'm aiming for 3:1 or at least 2:1 protein to fat. So if you look at my diaries, I'm aiming for maybe 30ish grams of fat and 75-100 grams of protein. It keeps me focused on lean proteins, more fiber, and less fat.
