My name is Christine and I'm a new user on this site. I've lost some weight in the past and the past year have been gaining it back. I'm lacking motivation and looking for something to help me keep on track. Anyone with suggestions?

Welcome! You have come to a great place for support and success. My advice...eat healthy, track your calories, if you crave something have it in moderation and exercise to earn those extra calories. Find exercises you love. Have fun! losing weight is a great thing, and its fun to do! Those are my tips. I'm sure you'll learn lots from these forums, they are full of advice and ideas. Good luck, you can do it! :flowerforyou:0

Hi, my name is Cheryl and I just joined. I am so sick of yo yo dieting. I have been successful on many different diets, but have never really learned how to change my lifestyle. I am hoping that by simply keeping track of calories, I will become acutely aware of everything that goes into my mouth and learn how to make better choices!
If anyone has any good suggestions, they are definitely welcomed.0 -
Hi my name is Cindy and I just joined. I feel like my weight is out of control. I have tried so many diets and have spent so much money on them only to fail at each one. I want a lifestyle change and I know that I need lots of support. My self esteem is low right now and I am an emotional eater. Hopefully this site will help.0

I agree with the above poster about eating your cravings in moderation. Also, exercise really does help. I exercised 3 days one week and lost weight. It felt so good. I didn't eat so well the following week nor did I exercise and no weight loss. I did well the 3rd week again and lost weight. So, I'm learning what I need to do and trying to focus on that. I know you can do it too!0

Welcome to a great site. All I can say is what has worked for me is to track food (honestly), exercise at least 3 times a week. And if I want those little treats then I either burn more calories at the gym or I sacrifice something else from my daily intake. And one final thing is not be on a diet but you are making a lifestyle change.
Good luck.0 -
Hi everyone my name is Caroline and have finally decided to get my butt in action and be serious this time. Usually i do it willy nilly and dont really stick to it..... My biggest problem is exercise getting out to do it and having a bit of space to do it on my own.0
