Kettlebell Exercises?

I bought a kettlebell to help me with my exercises. Does anyone know of some good challenging kettlebell exercises that I can add to my workout program?

go to the "watch video" link for kettle balls and there is a ten minute basic instructional video. Youtube in general is a great place to go for some free instructional videos for anything in fitness, really.
Kettle balls are awesome. There's so much you can do with them. Good luck!

how much of a challenge do you want?????

btw you should get all the basics down before you try anything "challenging" with those... you can seriously hurt yourself if you are not cautious when using them..

just doing the basic swings at the beginning is enough to challenge you and get your heart rate up...

I like the Bob Harper kettlebell video. It is very challenging and motivating.

Thank you all for your help. I will check out those videos you all suggested and start off with the basics exercises first.
  • Hi,

Here is an awesome article on Kettlebells. At the end, it gives you some exercises you can do with them. I have been training with kettlebells for years and love them. Even if you are short on time, you will still get a great workout. And they burn a ton of calories per minute! Hope this helps.

This is awesome! I just picked up a couple kettlebells this week! So far, I have tried the Bob Harper dvd, found some exercises on youtube and have a Sarah Lurie dvd I haven't tried yet. I find the workouts fun and interesting. But, I have never felt so nervous about accidently hurting myself or killing somebody with a work out!

Going to read the acfitness article now.

Look at Delaine Ross' site http://allaboutkettlebells.com for good instructional videos, etc

BE CAREFUL if looking at YouTube.....there is a lot of good stuff there, but a lot of junk as well.

Contact Keats Snideman RKC and get some one on one instruction. He's a great teacher and worth every penny. http://www.coachkeats.com (his facility is in Tempe).

Good luck to you....kettlebells can change your life.
