Pre Workout Drink/Shake?

I want to start hitting the gym in the mornings instead of after work so I'm looking for a quick drink or shake to give me some extra energy that I can drink on my way there? I've heard a little about N.O. Xplode? Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've really liked Jack3d lately myself, but I have heard good things about N.O. Xplode and will probably try that one out next myself once I am out of Jack3d.

What are your thoughts on Jack3d?.. I've never heard of it. Is it similar to N.O. Xplode?
  • I've tried half a dozen pre-workout drinks, including the ones mentioned above, and they do absolutely nothing for me apart from burn a hole in my pocket. For many people they do work, so it's a matter of experimenting and find which ones, if any, work for you. Remember that they are laden with caffeine, that's what gives you the buzz, though you can get caffeine free ones if this is an issue.

I just have protein and creatine before. Those pre-workouts aren't for me.the one I tried (razer 8) just felt like an energy drink to me. I hate energy drinks...I'm very sensitive to caffeine.

Isn't it better to workout without any food in your stomach? I've certainly found this to be the case, but I tend to limit my morning activity to around 40 minutes.
