Soft shell chicken tacos? Taco salad and don't eat the shell? Do they have soup? Fajitas are a good choice. You can eat just the meat and veggies, maybe one shell. Good luck!

Corn tortillas are low in calories. Stick with anything that has a lot of meat and veggies.

Well, corn tortillas aren't bad, probably around 40cal. Im not sure if the hard ones are fried or baked (we actually don't have hard shell tacos in Mexico), wich would make a huge difference. Anyway, as long as you don't overdo it with the cream and cheese and go for chicken or lean beef I think you'll be fine.

When I eat out Mexican I have Carne Asada, no rice or beans and extra grilled green onions.

Depending on your calorie intake, here is what I normally eat - Soft shell beef taco with beef & cheese only. 10-15 chips and salsa also. If your calorie content allows then I would add another taco. Most mexican places use iceberg lettuce - it is empty calories so I always hold the lettuce. No nutrition and waste of my calories. Sodium will be a little high with Mexican so drink extra water.
