Hello to all! I was asked to join this site by a person that has been helping me on my weight loss since Jan 1 2010, and it has taken until now for me to get the courage up enough to start looking at my food consumption on a daily basis. I have lost a few pounds since I started my exercise routine back in Jan, but I know that if I realy want to loose weight, I need to watch my food consumption and exercise on a normal basis. I've set my goal to 50 lbs to start, and as of today I'm half way there with the hardest part to come!

I am new to this site also. I think the best thing about this site is making you aware of what your daily intake in a day. It keeps you on the right track .
I lost 10 pounds in one month since joining in January 24,2010. Daily exercise and keeping your allowed calories are my success story so far.

Welcome, this a very good website to help you track your food consumption and it also let's you know how many calories you can eat in a day. Once you start to keep track of what you eat it allows you to see certains areas that may need to be increased or decreased. I hope that the tools are as heplful to you as they are to me. No that you are not alone on your journey because you have people at MFP that are here for the same reason. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Welcome to MFP. Well wishes to you on your weight loss journey. Just remember that this is a life style change, and they take time. Be patient with yourself and accept ups and downs and bumps along they way. There is a lot of really great people here, and the tools are also easy to use. Being healthy is a journey you are taking for you and you alone. Everyone's paces will be very different. So, stay consistent, keep motivated and your will power strong.
