Something I love about men

You will find on MFP NO threads that a man started asking what body type women like(and certainly not with 20 pics lol)

I kind of like the "this is what I am and she's gonna love it" confidence.

You think men don't post threads like this? They just don't post them here on MFP.

Pretty much every other fitness site is filled with endless threads arguing about the ideal male body type for attracting women. The discussions are heated. It might even be the most discussed topic on the internet.

There are literally scientific breakdowns of attraction and in-depth analyses of thousands of pictures of shirtless men.

hah, no way. When you go to some of these other bigger fitness boards, it's like a whole nother world...everyone is bigger, leaner, and better looking. MFP is the little leagues.

Take a look at bodybuilding.com...if you can get past the obscene egos and anti-female garbage, you'll find the most insecure group of good looking men on the planet. MILLIONS of threads debating what girls like.

What makes me chuckle about that. Is with the difference between women and men it usually has less to do with the outside.
Not that the outside isn't appreciated... but I think you get what I mean.

If you think that men don't concern themselves with what women like, then you've never been assailed by Cologne Man in the weight room. That? All that there is for you, Lay-tees.

Not all women are insecure. Not all men are confident. I would hate to denigrate individual kickassedness with generalizations.

Well this was not at all what I thought it was going to be! To go with the OP I see it as an insecurity not a confidence when you need validation. If your sexy and you know it you don't need to "force" people to tell your sexy, that just places you in the arrogant category and most don't tolerate arrogance for very long.

Actually, I have seen threads like that here. Not as common, but they do get started.

A big difference is in what we read. Most women read womans mags and gossip rags full of ads with airbrushed anorexic models, so they start to think that is what men want.
Men read magazines about Cars, sports, recreation and porn. These have ads with flash cars and expensive toys with women wearing very little draped over them, so men want these objects to impress the ladies.
Im surprised there havn't been any threads about what car, boat or flash bike should I buy to impress a girl, with 20 pics for the ladies to choose from.

    I disagree

Like whoever above said these things just get posted elsewhere.

An ever increasing number of males are developing eating disorders or body image issues, it's a problem that is getting worse.

I'm the same way. I've had boyfriends that were in ridiculous shape and some that were healthy but not overly ripped. To tell you the truth I preferred the latter. I always had way more fun with the boyfriend that would drink beer and watch basketball with without analyzing every calorie he ingested. Having to schedule my relationship around one ex's 2-a-days and 6 meals was exhausting.
