First goal achieved :)

This one might not mean much to people outside the UK, as here we have a unit of weight called a stone which equals 14lbs. I passed the 15 stone mark (210) going upwards about 8 years ago I think (have been avoiding scales for years). Three weeks ago I discovered I was 15stone 10 (220), and if I didn't get a grip I'd soon be passing 16stone (224). I'm 5 foot 8ins so I was able to deny the reality for much longer than I should have.

I joined MFP and my first goal was to see a 14 on the scales again. This morning they read 14 stone 13 (209). Happy dance! So my next goal is to lose exactly a stone, which will make me 206. After that it will be to see a 13 stone something on the scales. Tiny goals I know but if I set myself a huge goal at the beginning I will just be overwhelmed and give up.

And as a huge bonus, the terrible heartburn I've had for the last year has completely gone. No pepto-bismol has been required for the last 10 days, and I was living off the stuff. :):)

Well done! We are at the same weight more or less. Even in my early times I have never been lighter than 14 stone. At the moment I am 202lbs, hoping to get to 13 stone!

Well done, this isn't a little achievement - the first stone is the hardest because you've made a lot of changes to get there, after this it's keeping it up. Keep it up :)

I started in the 13's, and I'm hoping to see the 10's in the next couple of weeks... it's amazing what a number can make you feel.

That's fantastic, well done. My long term aim is to be able to pinch some of my 16 year old's clothes ;). (she would be horrified and immediately stop wearing them,)
  • Haha, love that your eyeing up her clothes already!Im on a mission to slim down a dress size before my daughters first birthday, i would love to have some beautiful family pictures, i have dodged them up till now and i know i will live to regret that in the future but i just cant bare to see pictures of myself right now :(

    Thats fantastic! Well done you!

Ive been hovering between 15stone1.5 and 15stone3 for the past couple of weeks and desperately want to see a 14 in there!

Keep going at it - and feel free to add me - I log on every day and support my MFP's as much as I can!
