Anyone have any suggestions on a good, affordable, treadmill ...one that I can use for running lots of miles (i'm training for a marathon)

If you're going to putting lots of miles on a teadmill, don't go cheap (which is different than affordable or inexpensive). Make sure that you get one designed for running and not walking. I personally like the ones that support iFit - it allows you to have customized programs for your treadmill as well as purchasing training programs.

I bought a proform XP from sears several years ago and I love it - but I know that more recent treadmills are even better. Do some research on the Internet on various retailer web sites to get customer reviews. My rule of thumb is to get middle-level models. If you go high end, you usually end up with features you never use. If you go low end, you end up with lower quality.
  • check craigslist, you'll prolly be able to find one there!
  • I would say to go on craigslist. You can probably find new/used and often times people just do not use them so they sell them.
