Hi im new today and i have a similar problem with bingeing, i eat quite sensible throughout the day whilst at work but as soon as i get home and after ive had my tea the chocolate cravings kick in and its really difficult to not indulge. i know its because im sitting down and bored etc but after a hectic day at work i haven't the energy to do anything else but i am trying hence my being here, i have filled in food diary today and i have to say i'm shocked by the calorie content of some of my food items ie nutri-grain bar, banana and even a cup of coffee, but im pleased by the fact that i haven't used all my calories today surely that's a step in the right direction :) anyway my goal is to lose about five stone i know its not going to be easy. age 52, hgt 5' 5" weight 15st 7lbs, waist 47" target weight 11 stone.

  • Hello! Some foods are a real surprise (even after 2 months, I had a big surprise when I found out how calorific coconuts are!).

I have to say I love a bit of chocolate whilst watching TV in the evening, and I know it is a habit rather than real hunger. A few things that have worked for me are:
    1) Hiding the chocolate somewhere I don't usually go.
    2) I complete my log for the day - mentally it makes me not want to eat anything more.
    3) Brush my teetch (as above).
    4) Set myself a limit, like a couple of squares of chocolate.

Add me if you want - I'm in the UK too.
