Polar HRM chest straps ---- will they fit a skinny guy?

I wanna buy a Polar HRM but I'm worried the chest strap won't fit me. I just measured my chest and it's 30".

Will any of their chest straps fit me?

Thanks.

They are adjustable. They come in different sizes but the standard size fits most people. I'd look at the sizes. If too big u can get a smaller size if need be.

Asking the people at Polar would probably be more helpful: info@thepolarshop.com.au

If nothing else, just cut some of the strap off and stitch it back up to fit. No biggie. You could even glue it if you aren't too handy with the needle or pin it with a safety pin to be more snug.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Uh. It's inappropriate to demand help like that. This is not a question answering service. It's a forum of people with a common interest. This is not the way to get help. It's a way to alienate people.

I have a women's polar hrm, and it fits fine. where it sits on my chest is 29" and I still have plenty of wiggle room to go smaller.

I am smaller then you my chest is freakishly tiny anyway I have to get them as tight as they go and sometimes they loosen up and it can be hard to tighten yourself (and it's awkward to ask someone you don't know really well) but for the most part I have no problems it still picks up my heart rate even when its a bit loose. It's just kind of annoying sometimes when it slips around when I'm running. I've found wearing tight sports bras with workout shirts that also have a built in bra helps it stay in place...30 inches isn't THAT small, It's small but plenty of women smaller then you use HRM's I'm sure.

Yesssss.... thank you all for coming through for this big brat!

Sue - I am sorry for putting you off like that. I was so desperate for help though. They had Polar HRMs on sale at Target and I was trying to act swiftly. Please forgive me.

Thanks again everyone for your outpouring of information. Looks like I can fit into a large even? Weird. I have a bird chest.

    $33 for the FT7

I was tipped off by this thread: http://slickdeals.net/f/5302746-Polar-FT7-Heart-Rate-Monitor-at-Target-clearance-33-28-tax-YMMV

Went to 3 different Targets but couldn't find one. Oh well, I'm gonna order one online and get the chest strap size I want.

Worth a shot though, just check the clearance racks in both Sporting Goods and Electronics.

Kind of like you are doing?
Normal social mores dictate that you do not DEMAND anything from people. If that works for you, great. You do what you want and talk to people in the manner you choose. That is your choice.
I am speaking from my angle only and am certainly not trying to "police" anyone. No need to be so nasty.
