You need to go thru all the stages of grieving. Once u get to anger it is much better. You willl be able to move forward. Good luck. Be strong.0

How long were you with him/her?0

It gets better. Time passes.
There are 7 billion people on the planet. I'm guessing there are 15,000 men very similar to him within a three hour radius of you. Probably 5,000 within an hour.
Either stick with one like him or branch out and try something else. It's a LOVE buffet out there sweetie! All you can eat....um...not the right analogy...well maybe it is...LOL Life is short.

My husband just left me last week, so I can appreciate your pain. A break-up of any kind is not fun. I have really leaned on my friends. They allow me to vent. Just vent, and vent, and vent. The worst thing to do is hold it in. If you vent in a healthy matter. I have my ups and more so my downs. But I realize I don't feel as bad as I did a few weeks ago. Things were obviously wrong before he left me. I was just in denial. You are beautiful and most importantly, you are not alone.0

Aw I know the feeling, it's definitely beyond awful.
I've been on a 'break' with my boyfriend of a year for about 3 weeks now and the inevitable breakup is happening in the next few days. I'm dreading it, he's the whole first love/first guy I've ever genuinely cared about! But it'll get better, try thinking of it in a larger scale. By that, I mean think of how many other people are feeling the exact same way as you right now. I mean there's me for one example, and the other lovely ladies that also replied to this post! And think of how many people have felt this way before. Must be almost everyone that's been in a relationship before, no? And where are they now? A lot of them are probably happier than they've ever been I'm sure - single, married or whatever.
Everyone goes through ups and downs, some harder than others. But if you didn't go through them, then how would you be able to tell how perfect your future partner is? That didn't make perfect sense like it does in my head, but if you get the general jist of it then phewf!
Go out with your friends, have fun and just think what your ex is missing out on and how that's their loss
(And then finish it off with a bowl of ice cream and a lame movie or something.. I hope I don't get banned from here for advocating ice cream haha!)

I think it made perfect sense. All the bad ones will make you appreciate the "good" one all that much more.0 -

Yes I know :-/ I know TMI but I am also pms'ing so I think part of the emotions are coming from there ....0 -

Sorry to hear about you going through all this heartache. OP not too long ago I was going through the same emotions as I had to break off a 3 year relationship with a stunning girl, we were just not compatible and didn't see the point of prolonging the inevitable.
My advice...
1) Implement No Contact ASAP
2) Stop stalking his facebook, better yet delete it if you haven't done so already
3) Pack away his photos and anything that reminds you of him
4) Stop questioning the breakup and accept it, everything happens with a reason
5) Find your self worth and self esteem, start a new chapter in your life with confidence and hope
You are better than this and no need to waste time on living in the past, your wasting precious time to improve yourself for someone new and better.0 -

Wow. I'm so sorry. That must have been a horrible break up. You're going to be okay though. It's time to find out some new things about yourself. Work on the aspects of yourself that you dislike, and enjoy everything you love about yourself.0 -
Dang, that sucks. A relationship of four years takes time to work through. If you find yourself in a rut, though, you might want to consider one or two appointments with a mental health counselor of some sort. That would probably be enough to get you moving again (assuming you are in an actual rut, as opposed to impatient for the grieving process to be over).
Hang in there!0
