Hello everyone, I am new here and trying to figure out how to log Insanity workouts in my exercise diary. I search the exercises but nothing comes up when I put in Insanity or the name of the specific workout. If I have to add it in myself, how do I know how many calories I am burning? Thank you!

I put it in as calisthenics. The burn is probably greater but it is the closest thing to it.
  • check your heart rate, after the warm up count how many times does your heart beat in 10 seconds and multiply it for 6, then put here all your info :)http://www.calories-calculator.net/Calories_Burned_By_Heart_Rate.html and create a exercise with that info. Good luck doing Insanity!

Purchase a heart rate monitor - you'll be able to log accurate burns for your workouts.
  • Its considered to be circuit training. I did a bit of research and that is how they categorize it, along with the PX90 workout. I hear its a killer! Let us know how it goes!

A heart rate monitor is TOTALLY worth it!!! I got a polar ft4 from heartratemonitorsusa.com. It was the cheapest polar ft4 I found and I LOVE mine.
  • Thanks eveyone! I will look into a hrm for sure. When logging workouts as circuit training or calisthenics do you log it for all of the different workouts? I know some are harder than others. This is my second time doing Insanity. I finished my first 60 day challenge in September. I loved and am doing it again!
