I am in the Burn Phase of Chalean Extreme so I am trying to eat around 1400 cals but I seem to be hovering around 1200. The things you eat on her plan make me STUFFED and I have a hard time getting all my cals in. I love it!0

I do feel really sad for the 1200 calorie people.
The difference between their net cals and mine is slightly less than what I just ate for breakfast this fine Sunday morning. Best of luck for those who have to limit their calories to such a tiny amount. I would have to take heavy-duty stimulants to make it through each day. :smokin:0 -
I lost 150 lbs!!! The only reason I gained it back was because I got pregnant with my daughter.
Did you give birth to a teenager?
Seriously, you can't blame the baby for gaining 150 pounds. I gained 30 with one and 25 with the other. Most of it was gone by the time I left the hospital.
Pregnancy and the baby are NOT responsible for any more than 20 extra pounds or so....eating way too much while pregnant and using it as an excuse, instead of eating healthy and exercising gently are what caused it.
I was wondering if anyone would say this. I was thinking to myself that OP had one big azz baby!
Oh now come on! I gained 80 pounds with my 7 ounce baby. It had nothing to do with eating entire batches of brownies in one sitting! :laugh:0 -
Hi, I try to stay at the 1200 calorie mark everyday. Sometimes it's a little more. I don't worry about going over some because I exercise a little everyday. I usually don't eat back the calories I burn. it's only usually around 300 cals. anyhow.0

1200 isn't for everyone, that is for sure. Generally speaking, people with more to lose need to be eating more than that, or people who are doing a large amount of strenuous activity.0 -

MFP tried to give me 1200 when I first started, and after I "post-logged" a typical day or two, I was eating close to 4000 calories on average. So it was instinctual that I would lose weight without starving. I found Helloitsdan's "In Place of a Road Map" and did the math and felt much better that MFP lets you do personalized goals. I have averaged 2 pounds a week at 1800 net calories while MFP still thinks I should only be losing a half pound per week. When I first started on 1800 calories, it was still hard at first to eat the right foods at the right times so that I wasn't hungry.
But also, my overall goal is more about fitness than about scale weight. I am trying to get below 25% body fat so I am more interested in losing fat than losing overall body weight.
My mom used to do the super-low calorie thing from time to time, as well as just about every fad diet out there. The one thing she never wanted to do is exercise. But I was always active as a kid and played sports all the time. I tried to play volleyball earlier this summer for the first time in years, and I could NOT get my body to do what my brain knew was necessary to play the game well. I hated that feeling. If I was on 1200 calories, I would have to continue a sedentary lifestyle. :ohwell: ...At 1800, I am working out 2-3 times a week.0 -
This is my first time on the 1200 calorie diet. I'm trying to lose the 20lbs I gained while living in the Caribbean over the last year! So far it's been 4 weeks and I've lost 4lbs.
I have a trick for everyone out there! CHIA SEEDS !!!!!! You can buy them as whole seeds or ground, put them on anything you're eating and you'll barely notice them. They keep you feeling full for hours, help a lot with cravings AND they have a ton of other health properties

Why buy chia when you can buy hemp? Hemp seeds are actually a complete protein and have the perfect ratio of Omega 3 and Omega 6.0
