    from scratch to me means no premade sauces, (excluding soy sauce) it means having to do stuff to prepare the ingredients, chopping, washing, seasoning, adding a little of this and that, most of my meals are from scratch these days, although i do use tinned tomatoes for the base of sauces but seeing as i add garlic, onion and various herbs and spices, i believe that it is still homemade or 'from scratch' seeing as in this modern world hardly anyone (other than perhaps the amish) truly prepare EVERYTHING from scratch (i'm talking tinned veg, bread, pasta, noodles etc) if you do, then good on you! :-)

    I miss doing this!! I've had to go to microwaving ingredients and really getting artificial because of the crazy busy schedule I have. In the summer time though I'm all about making it as homemade as possible!
