Hello everyone, my name is Peggy and I have lost 53lbs with Weight Watchers started over a year ago, reached a plateau and I am tired of paying for WW. Several friends recommended Fitness Pal, so I am seeing if this will motivate me to loss the last 25lbs. I am not counting calories instead of the WW pts. How is every doing on this site. Any suggestions sure would be welcome.

You will like this site better than Weight Watchers. Simpler in a lot of ways. (Grew up in Racine, by the way!)

This site helped me lose 34 lbs before I had my gastric by-pass surgery. Before starting on this site I thought I knew everything there is to know about food but I didn't.

    Welcome Peggy!!
I started losing a year ago & got stuck. Started this site around February & I really enjoy it. Wasn't doing the social side of it till bout July which has now helped me pass another slump. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like, it really does help.
Congratulations on what you've accomplished thus far!!!!

    Welcome to MFP, Peggy!!
I'm Joanne (55 also) from Alberta, Canada.
I joined TOPS about 5 years ago and lost most of the extra weight
I found MFP in May 2012 and it has been sooo helpful in losing the last stubborn 20 pounds.
I'm counting on MFP for maintainance.....no more yoyo-ing ever again!!
I'm here daily and my diary is open to friends.
I'd love to give and receive support on this journey.

Hi Peggy. I have recently started using this site and I like it so far. Have lost 7 lbs in 11 days so that makes me happy. Hope it works for you.
