Looking for some friends who fit into my catagory

I am 50, obese, with few health problems at this time but can see them in my future. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, nurse and am truly tired of being overweight. I get very little if any encouragement, assistance, or accountability from my spouse, who has never been more than 15 pounds over his ideal weight.

  • Hi sorry to hear about the lack of support but i just guess some men just dont know how to show that sort of thing. I dont really fit into your category but i am more than happy to be your friend and support you on here. I am almost at my ideal weight and joined here a few weeks back to lose my final stone. I am 40yrs old and had a baby last year and i am trying to lose the left over weight. This site is good and if you truly get into it, it will work for you.

Add me as a friend if you like and good luck on your journey :-)

I am 45, obese, nurse, wife, mother and am tired of being overweight also. I do have some medical issues tho. DM2, HTN, and high triglycerides. I am married to a wonderful man who is also overweight and starting in november is going to try to lose weight also. I'm sorry your husband is not supportive. Shame on him. I don't know if I fit into the group of people you are looking for, but I would love to be friends and make this journey with youl.
  • I don't fit in to your catergory either however i'm happy to be a friend on here with you. Add me if you like

I fit very snugly in your category. I am 50 and obese. We have both lost 29lbs.
My spouse plays action cricket for South Africa and has a body of a god.
He loves munching all my favourite ice creams and chocolates in the evening, sitting next to me on the couch. I must admit he does always offer to share (twit!).
I have some odd health issues also.

    Friend me with pleasure
  • I'm a 42 year old obese nurse. I have a few health problems related to my weight... mostly high blood pressure. I'm not diabetic... yet.

I take care of my mother, who is in poor health and unable to care for herself. My sister also lives here They are both obese as well, but neither is at all supportive of my weight loss goals. They try to sabotage me at every turn.

I'd really like to be your friend so we can support each other in this journey.

    Kristy
