Need help with energy level. I have been doing a Zumba fitness challenge for 5 weeks. I have lost 6lbs so far and joined myfitnesspal last week to help track calorie intake. Problem is I seem to be losing my energy level and getting through the workouts are getting harder and harder. I get enough sleep between 6-1/2 and 8 hours per night but I still feel exhausted throughout the day. Any suggestions would be great

how many calories are you eating? What kind of food? Do you know your typical carb/fat/protein percentages?0

Don't forget to eat0

you probably arent eating enough if you have no energy0

You can try adding extra Vitamin B12 pill in the morning and make sure you get enough carbs and protein to aid recovery.0

I had big issues with energy when I first started on MFP. I played around with a few things, and the main thing that fixed it was to eat more.0

I used to eat a lot of red meat but have cut that out completely. Now it is chicken, turkey, and fish. I am taking in between 1000-1200 calories, eating a lot of whole grains and vegetables.
It seems like from many of the posts that I am not eating enough but I am doing 5-6 small meals a day. It seems like i am eating too much0 -

I would suggest iron testing too.. Red meat has quite a bit of iron. If you cut that out you might not be getting enough. My doctor suggest slow fe as a daily iron supplement when I'm pregnant. I know several veggies are high in iron too....0

I take a womens muti vitamin but that may not have enough iron in the supplement0

Do get it checked though before getting an iron supp - too much can be bad for you too.0
