Getting ready for my 10 year high school reunion :)

Hi my name is Aubree and I'm 27 years old and i live in a little town in Kentucky. I am needing to lose 67 lbs. before 7/13/13 for my 10 year high school reunion. Today is my official 1st day back to MFP. Anybody have any suggestions/motivation? Anything would be much appreciated! :)

Have a blessed day!

My 10 year reunion is next summer too! I'd love to show everyone I'm doing great 10 years later. What great motivation, right? Friend request sent.
  • Hi Aubree, welcome back to MFP! I'm a KY girl myself (Owensboro) ...

I've lost 50 lbs since the beginning of this year simply by cutting back on excess sugar, breads, fast food, and completely quit drinking sodas and fruit juices (and all without exercise, due to a knee injury). I pretty much just drink water, although I have some tea or Crystal Light from time to time. Do you like water? That would be a good first step in my opinion. Also it helps to log everything that you eat and drink every day and be as accurate as possible so you can look back on your food diary to see what is working or not working for you. Have you determined how many calories you should be consuming each day? Here's a handy calculator to determine your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) ~ http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html With that number, you can subtract 1000 calories a day from that, for a goal of losing 2 lbs a week, or just 500/day if you want to lose around 1 lb a week. So be sure to log into MFP every day to track your calories!! Any time I start to feel discouraged or bored with eating this way, the Success Stories/pictures that MFP members post on here are very motivating as well!

What changes are you making to lose weight?

Best of luck to you! You can do this!!!!
