Looks delicious! I checked the nutrition information at the bottom of the recipe's page - it's roughly 450 cals for a 1.5 cup serving.0

I got all excited thinking it was going to be a healthy variation of naughty potato soup. But this has half and half, 13 slices of bacon, and loads of cheese. Sounds delicious, but I'd better not partake.0

I wouldn't consider this very healthy...462 Cals for 1.5 cups. Cream, bacon, cheese, sour cream etc. I would use my calories a different way.0

Me too. But 29 grams of fat killed it for me.0 -

There's an old WW recipe I have made for years if you google WW potao soup I'm sure it's still out there.
1 package hash browns or O'brien potatoes (frozen)
chicken broth (i think it was 6 cups)
1 pkg of FF country gravy (Country gravy is the white one with pepper I can't remember the brand but it is sold at Walmart)
heat broth and mash the potatoes in the heated broth with the side of a spoon. Then you added the prepared gravy
I used to add WW shredded cheddar and Tastefully simply Bacon Bacon to each bowl
I'm sorry I don't have exact measurements but you can find it online.0 -

Thanks for all the comments, folks!! I know you'll love this soup once you try it. Yes, it's a bit high in calories, but it is VERY satisfying! Just add a tossed green salad and you've got an award-winning meal!!0

I am sure things can be cut down by using turkey bacon and fat free cheese. I think this recipe is worth playing around with and finding a healthier creation!0 -
Bump! Looks so good!0

You can TOTALLY adjust this recipe to cut the fat!!! Try...(as some have mentioned...)
Turkey bacon AND/OR use 6 slices instead of 13
Fat-free cheese AND/OR use less
Fat-free sour cream OR don't use toppings at all
Sure, my version is not the healthiest in the world, but that's the way that I like it
If you're not willing to spend 452 calories on 1.5 cups of kick-*kitten* soup, tweak my version & make it YOURS!0 -
