How much should i be eating?

So cofused, MFP says 1200 calores for a 1lb a week loss? I would prefer to lose a little more than that but happy with that if thats all can get off. However from doing some reseach on her and through various sites it seems to be coming out as though i should be eating more, maybe arund 1400? Im 5ft 2 and 126 lbs. My Goal is around 118 and i plan on going to the gym 3 times a week for an hour.
