I'm sure this topic has gone through he a million times, but most of the recipes I found were fruit (which is good :smile: ), but I was trying to find a good recipe to include peanut butter. I LOVE peanut butter and it seems to be something I crave, so I thought if I could find a good filling smoothie with peanut butter in it I wouldn't eat an entire container of it! :noway: (Which I could totally do.) Thank you in advance for ANY ideas!!! :flowerforyou:

    Here's a couple that include peanutbutter -- one with fruit, one without!

    1 c. skim or 1 % milk
    1/2 c. vanilla or plain, non-fat or low-fat yogurt
    2 tsp. peanutbutter (add more to your taste!)
    3 spoonfuls of instant oatmeal (raw)
    1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
    8-10 ice cubes
    (makes 2 servings)

    1 c. skim or 1% milk
    1/2 c. vanilla non-fat or low-fat yogurt
    1 c. frozen strawberries (or other forzen fruit)
    2 tsp. peanutbutter
    1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
    7-9 ice cubes
    (makes 2 servings)

    Here are two that are delicious... with calories... and both are vegan (we don't do dairy - but you could certainly switch the almond milk up for some skim cow's milk).

    1 tablespoon of PB (120 cals)
    1 cup of almond milk (40 cals)
    2 T rice protien powder (60 cals)
    3 ice cubes

    or...

    1/2 ripe banana (40 cals)
    1 cup of almond milk (40 cals)
    1 tablespoon PB (120 cals)
    3 ice cubes

    Vanilla whey protein powder would also be delicious!

    here's a few I found for you (i just googled them so i dont knkow how they actually taste, but they sound DELICIOUS!!!!)

    Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie:

    * 1c. skim fat-free milk
    * 1 envelope Carnation Instant Breakfast, No-Sugar Added, Chocolate Drink Mix
    * 1-2T. natural peanutbutter
    * 3 ice cubes

    Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

    * 1 cup cold milk ( can use white, chocolate or half milk & half yogurt)
    * 1 ripe banana ( frozen if you want thicker shake )
    * 2 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter

    Peanut butter and Banana Smoothie

    * 1 banana
    * 1/8 cup peanut butter
    * 1/2 cup soy milk
    * 2 tablespoons honey

    I didn't find the nutritional information with these, but i'm sure they would change and you could make it somewhat better for you with non-fat milk/soy milk or reduced fat peanut butter. Enjoy!
