Help with self-criticism during weight loss

Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but I got this Bach flower essence from whole foods. Two drops in a glass of water and I swear, i'm not as self critical as I usually am when i gain some weight. Usually, i'd be staring down at my stomach in disgust while on the bike or pinching my belly fat...but I'm not. I just don't care, I'm on the bike and I seem to have faith that it will go away. THIS IS REALLY WEIRD FOR ME.

Anyway, the flower essences i'm using are:
Gentian

"Those who are easily discouraged. They may be progressing well in illness or in the affairs of their daily life, but any small delay or hindrance to progress causes doubt and soon disheartens them."

and

"Crab Apple"

. They can be fussy, easily upset and have a tendency to make mountains out of molehills when in the negative state...
The bottle says something about being able to look past physical imperfections.

Now maybe it's just me....i made a choice to purchase these items, so i'm not making a big deal out of my weight problems. But I swear, whatever. It's working. I got them at whole foods.

Highly recommended.

I've not tried Bach flower essence, but I am a big fan of herbal remedies. Oatstraw keeps me feeling calm and mellow, lemon balm gives me a lift during the dark winter months, and stinging nettle keeps my energy up.

Whenever I feel down, I dab a touch of vanilla essence (yep, the one you bake with) behind my ears and on a bit of a tissue to stuff into my bra between my breasts (TMI?). It cheers me up almost immediately. What I would love to have is the smell of green apple. I swear I buy the dishwasher liquid to smell it! I also react positively to the bitter grapefruit smell and I LOVE sandalwood with its viscous quality. I really need to do more aromatherapy :)

That's very interesting! I've never tried anything like that before. I do spray my pillow with lavender when I remember.

I'm extremely skeptical when it comes to remedies like this (aromatherapy et al) ...but, what the hell... I may just try it out anyway! I need all the help I can get with self-criticism, even if it's simply a placebo effect.
