I was there two weeks ago, and decided to restart--you can too. EVERYONE of us in this "BATTLE of the BULGE" has either been there, are there or will be there during this journey/adventure. I know how you feel. Here's a BOATLOAD of encouragement for you (and me) and the untold hundreds who are just where you are or will be...like I was:
You ROCK, just for reaching out for help {{{ Hugs }}}
*************************************
Success is not a race, be patient.
Success leads to success.
Success is always a work in progress.
Success doesn't come to you--you go to it.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process.
Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying.
Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED!
If at first you don't succeed-try, try again
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world.
"Any experience can be transformed into something of value. Everything depends on the way you look at things. You cannot have the success without the failures.
What are stumbling blocks and defeat before you, can be stepping stones to victory if you remain determined.
In all your adversities there lies the seeds of equivalent advantages. In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the next time.
I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am.
Make the decision, then do something - no matter how small - toward accomplishing what you want.
Persevere and you will win the prize.
You get whatever you settle for.
Your past does not equal, nor does it dictate, your future.
One definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.
Do you choose to simply know the path, or do you choose to walk it?
We fail because we don't strike the iron while it's hot. We don't take immediate action toward achieving what we want. We decide to wait until tomorrow, or next week, or even next month.
It comes down to a simple question: what do you want out of life, and what are you willing to do to get it?
Be specific in what you want, and use specific words. Empower yourself, and become the person you dream about!
Listen closely: the only time it's too late to change yourself is when you're dead. Until then, you're simply making excuses or lying to yourself.
If you didn't need a pill to get fat, why would you need one to get unfat?
You won't fail if you're not perfect, you'll fail if you're not committed to improving yourself slightly each day.
Rather than aiming for being perfect, just aim to be little bit better today than you were yesterday.
We can reverse years of damage to our bodies by deciding to raise our standards for ourselves, then living differently. Old wounds heal, injuries repair, and the whole system improves with just a few changes in what we put into our bodies and how we move them.
"Anything is possible, It's your choice whether or not you choose to make IT happen."
What would you attempt, if you knew you could not fail?
Discipline is remembering what you want.
"You have failed only when you quit trying. Until then, you're still in the act of progression. So, never quit trying and you'll never be a failure.---Tommy Kelley
"If we defend our habits, we have no intentions of quitting them."

Ralph Marston

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.
IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW GOOD YOU ARE BUT HOW BAD YOU WANT IT!!
Food for Thought: The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Strengthen Your Desire! Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.
Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down...
Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future. ~ Deepak Chopra ~
He who gets up one more time than he falls, makes it through...
Determination today leads to success tomorrow!
Quitting is NOT an option.
I can do this...I know I can. It's just going to take time & patience.
Start doing what's necessary, then do what's possible, and suddenly you'll be doing the impossible!

In about a year I've plateaued a bunch of times, for up to 4 weeks...makes me want to say to hell with it, and just eat fried chicken and mcdonalds again. I've stuck with it, even though it seemed like I was smashing my head against a wall, and working harder than ever, and making no progress...but eventually the fat continues to come off.0
-
6 months for me now and I took feel like I've plateaued more then I've lost but truthfully the weight comes off as it should. Don't give up and keep going cause you'll get there.0

I've only lost 12 pounds and felt myself slipping because of one weekend full of sweets, I was soooo tempted to quit! But don't let your eating habits of yesterday define today, and even though you may nor want to go exercise, PUSH yourself! you can do it! Don't let the 15 pounds you've lost be in vain. All is well!0
-
YOU CAN DO IT! YOU WANT IT OR YOU WOULDNT BE THINKING ABOUT THE QUESTION.
START WITH A FRESH CLEAN DAY AND THEN MAKE IT 2 THEN 3 AND THEN 4 DAYS, IF YOU FEEL U MUST EAT SOMETHING AS WHAT I SAY "NORMAL" AMERICANS EAT THEN MAKE IT PIZZA AND ONLY A MEAL! I TRY TO DO THIS, BUT NEVER ACTUALLY DO IT. I WANT TO EAT CRAP, BUT I DONT WANT TO IF THAT MAKES SENSE. SO FUNNY LIKE YESTERDAY I TOOK MY HUSBAND THRU THE MCDONALDS DRIVE THRU- HE GOT THE USUAL CRAP AND I GOT A LARGE WATER.
I REALLY WANT ALL THE CRAP STUFF, BUT I CANT DO THE GUILT AFTERWARDS!
I WILL STILL EAT A BOWL OF KIDDIE CEREAL ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT THATS ABOUT IT.
I LIKE THE NEW ME WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TO MUCH TO GO BACK TO THE OLD. PLUS THINK ABOUT IT WINTER IS COMING, THE TIME WHEN MOST EAT EAT AND EAT... WE WILL BE SO AHEAD OF THE GAME IN JANUARY WHEN THEY ALL START THEIR DIETS :drinker:
GOOD LUCK!!!!0 -
(bump) I gotte keep all those great quotes handy to help me on my way too!!0

Definitely This^^^^ Hugs to the original poster for the great quotes of encouragement!0 -
I think EVERYONE feels like this at some point! I too have lost my way but I finally came "out of the dark" last Monday. Doing well, and hopefully will stay with it. Been up and down, down and up. This is the biggest I've ever been, even including pregnancies. So I am praying I can stick with this. You can do it too!!!!0

Perseverance, Dedication, Commitment....and Perseverance. I'm saying this... because I was on this site for a year....deleted that account, and thought to hell with it...I'd rather be fat than count everything down to the ounce on what I'm eating. But ya know....I honestly wouldn't rather be fat, and I was angry because I hate change. CHANGE is what has to happen for us to grow and move forward.
I lost 4 lbs this past week....because I carefully planned out my food diary, and I walked/jogged 60 minutes a day no matter what. Okay well I missed 2 days to give my body a little rest....but the point is I got moving and made sure I logged EVERYTHING I put in my mouth.
You can do it. :flowerforyou: Just don't give up. If you screw up for ONE meal...don't worry about it! Really...think about it... it takes MORE than ONE meal to sabotage you. Just move forward and learn from it....like how can you keep it from happening again. Drink water water water....that has helped me a LOT.
I have faith in you0 -
And I agree with above statements about pushing yourself. I tell you the honest truth...I don't feel like walking 50% of the time...and definitely not jogging most of the time...but I PUSH myself to get up and do it because I know that is ESSENTIAL for the equation of weight loss.
~ Just keep swimming~0 -

You are such a superstar...take it slow and easy. Ease into exercise and when treats and things come up, either make room in your daily calorie allowance or do what you did. Remember, you are NOT alone and there are hundreds, if not thousands of people just like us that are accomplishing their goals--if they can do it...we can too, period!0 -

YAY! SO glad to hear!0 -
The main trick is not to deprive yourself and stick to a 3 or 5 day exercise plan and log everything and remember you didn't put the weight on over night it takes a while to come off :happy:0

Log, log, log, and log some more. Keep logging even if you're busting your limit.0
