How do you deal with being the only one dieting?

P.s. a diet is the customary amount of food a person takes in on a day to day basis. It can also mean restrictive which is what I'm seeing people are saying
Everyone in the world has a diet.
So please don't tell me I need to change my way of thinking or that you don't have a diet.0 -
Don't cook diet food. Cook healthy, well balanaced food and consume a reasonable amount of it. If your husband won't eat healthy, well balanced food, he can cook for himself.0

Oh, come on.
You said "dieting" - look at the title of this post. You also said, "I'm on the diet, not my family or husband."
If your argument is that some responders are being ridiculous because "everyone in the world has a diet" why did your say your husband does not? Does he not eat food?
It is obvious what you were asking. No one here said that they "don't have a diet." They said they are not ON a diet.
You know exactly what we meant, and we knew exactly what you meant by your post. You asked it, we gave our responses. No need to play coy about it.0 -

ShannonMpls - thank you....
To the OP - it would have been nice if you had said 'thank you' to everyone because clearly everyone offered great suggestions... clearly you have some issues at home with regard to you 'being the only one dieting' - as you have included that in not just your thread title, but also the body of the initial post you made.....it was enough to motivate you to post a thread seeking out people who feel like their dieting is also affecting others in the home. No one gave you any issues, arguments or problems... we all tried to help you with suggestions, offered feedback, and shared our own current/previous experiences - just as you requested.
The 'change your mindset' in my first post to you was in reference to you, the original poster, commenting on yourself that you "on a diet", that you are "the only one dieting".... that can have a negative impact on anyone. The fact that you shared in your thread, that you are dieting, well... that paints the picture right there.... and I wasnt the only one who saw that. You dont need to take things so personally, in fact.. you really have no reason to be. Its pretty much like ShannonMpls said..... you asked, we answered.. it was all very civil...0 -
At home, it's pretty fine. When I'm eating (thank God, my brother doesn't make fun of it). He doesn't eat much around the house anyways.
At school, most of the time me and my friends eat in fast foods or restaurants or what. Good thing, I have my own packed lunch. It's healthier. But sometimes I can't really resist it. I just order one meal and eat it anyways. And hate myself for one day. lol.0
