Looking for friends to motivate and to motivate me!

I'm a freshman in college, and am trying to lose weight. I've been using this app for the last couple months, and it's helped a lot! But I could use people to motivate me, and to help people with their weight loss journeys as well! I used to play football in high school, and was used to eating a lot and not really worrying about gaining a lot of weight because of practice. I played left tackle at 250, but tore my meniscus and MCL the second week my senior year. Next thing I knew, I weighed in at 318 pounds!!! I'm trying to lose this weight, and get past 250. Let's do it together!

  • Hey! I'm a freshman in college too, and I totally get what you mean when it comes to looking to others for motivation. It helps me the most when I get to see people my age, or around the same age losing weight, getting in shape, and becoming healthy. If they can do it, why cant we?!
    I've lost about 30lbs since I've started my journey, and I'm not done yet! So hang in there and ill do the same ! :)
  • Heck yeah! way to go with losing 30 pounds! I've lost 15 so far, but am looking to lose WAY more. But you're right, if they can do it, why can't we? Hang in there girl!

    Hi! I'm a freshman at graduate school. I just started this program and are definitely interested in meeting other people on MFP.

    I'm hoping to see results soon. Any tips will help. I just started Saturday and I'm also downloaded the Nike Training app to help with my work-outs.
