I think I am suffering from Season Affective Dissorder here at work.:frown: I have my own office, however zero natural light. it is an old small office and one other coworker who does not have any natural light has said the same. She was saying how the two of us should go out for a 20 min walk through the day or go to the tanning salon downstairs.

I know everyone is going to say GO FOR THE WALK, well I live in Canada people! Its snowing and blowing out. Plus I work in a not so nice, sketchy area of town.

UGH!:grumble:

I think I seem to be ok once I leave work for the day :ohwell:

Ok- dorky suggestion, but they make lights that help with SAD. You can pretty much google it and find some. Seriously, put one of those puppies at your desk and it might just pick you up a smidge.

If possible, perhaps you could get a light therapy lamp and take that to work, or spend some time in front of it in the AM.

I just got one of those lights sun touch plus. It has the ions and the light you need. Ive only used it for days in a row now and I think it has helped lift my spirits. I find it easy to use when Im on the computer I just turn it on and sit there.

  • Ha. Two people beat me to the answer. I suggest the same. Light therapy lamp did the trick for me. The counseling office of my Alma Matar (sp?) had one and I used it in the winter a lot.

Bring a lamp or three with CFL (those twisty bulbs) for the office. They are brighter and help me (at home) with my SAD.
  • I was just thinking about this this morning - trying to remember what it was called...here in southern NH we are definately in s.a.d. -- each year we feel this and manage to get through but this year it is really hard.
  • do like I did, quit your old job and become a trucker/heavy equipment operator,I work outside everyday, those machines have cabs built like aquarium, losts of light no cold or snow!!!!

    lol
