Not sure if this was posted already or not but here's a recipe that's soooooo good but lighter on calories than the original Chocolate cake with PB icing recipe.
1 box Devils food cake mix
12 oz of water
Bake according to directions on box.
Icing:
1 tub FF cool whip
2 tb peanut butter
Wait for cake to cool. Mix cool whip and PB in electric mixer till PB works all through the cool whip. Slather on cooled cake. Hope you guys like!

MMM the PB icing sounds really good. I'm going to try that as icing on a cake recipe I saw on another forum on here before. How you just make the cake mix with a can of diet soda instead of all the other ingredients cake boxes tell you to use.0

That sounds so tasty, and simple.
So just water, instead of the oil and eggs? Or does the devils food only call for water on the box?0 -
I adore you for posting this. I am a baker at heart and dieting has gotten me so worried about things I haven't even looked into it yet. I'm so excited now! :bigsmile:0

No, the cake mix calls for eggs and oil. The only directions you'll follow on the box is the actual baking directions.0

I'd have to divide everything out again. I've been doing this recipe for years and I know it's lower in calories but it's been a long time since I figured it out. When I do, I'll try to post it.0 -

In this particular recipe, just cake mix and 12 oz of water. No eggs or oil.0
