Combining MFP and Weight Watchers

My workplace had a discount on Weight Watchers, and I joined. The session is set to run until December 26th, which I thought would be a perfect way to lose, instead of gain, through the holidays. Our first meeting was last Wednesday, and I weighed in at a frightening 296+ lbs! There was a line of about 50 people waiting to weigh in (it was popular due to the discount and the timing for the holidays) and I looked around and realized that I was probably the heaviest person in line, which disgusts me.
I looked at the "Points Plus" program, and thought to myself, "there must be an easier way!". So, I found this site, and how easy it was to use and document your food (fats/carbs/protien/etc.). I've lost 11 lbs in just over a week. My goal is to some day be below 200, but that is too far in the future to think about. A mini goal will be to be below 250.
I'm also on three B/P medications, and my fasting blood sugar is creeping up to the point that I will need diabetic medication. So in essence, my goal is to keep myself from dying.
Anyway, that is my scary story. I just turned 44 last week, and want to be way past my mini-goal by the time I'm 45. If not for me, for my two kids (ages 6 and 8).

Hello,
I made weightwatchers for a long time, and lost many kg, is a good dieta, you learn how to eat healthy. At the begining it may be confusing with so many propoints, but after a week becomes much easier.
Fell free to add me as a friend if you want.0 -
I am on WW and I also use MFP. I use it for the support and to keep track of the calories I intake, but soley go by WW.0

I tried to do both but it's too much tracking. Curious as to which you find easiest? Is nutrition info more accurate on MFP or WW?0

yes I am curious about this too.I need the suppor to meetings or something and also the motivation to eat more veggies/fruit which I believe WW promotes. There is no way to track veggies and fruit on here right?0

Good Luck to you!
I have been going to WW for over a year and have lost 55 lbs. Slow but sure.
I'm also 44 and want to get healthier so I will be around longer for my kids.
I just crossed the 200lb mark and it feels really good.
I just found MFP yesterday as I joined a program at the Y called Move 2 Lose and my trainer wants us to track calories for a week.
Keep it up!0 -
I have done WW in the past and admit it works but I don't have the time to go to the meetings and the website just got to be too much for me. I'm back to struggling again and just started on MFP recently. So far I'm just lost. I try to work out 5 days a week and need to get serious about tracking. I need serious motivation and help. I lost 13 pounds this year but then got sick and have gained 7 back, I can't get it back off. If there are any good motivators out there I would love to chat.
Thank you0
