I don't HAVE time to workout, I MAKE time to workout.

I don't HAVE time to workout, I MAKE time to workout. So tired of hearing "I wish I had time to workout like you" UM, I make time! I run my own successful business, I sit on the board for the PTA and a non-profit organization, I have two small children - one of which is involved in many activities - and my husband works swing shift at 50+ hours a week so I do a lot of this alone. So to get 1 hour a day in the gym without the phone, email and kids on my heels is pure heaven!

You are so very right. None of us "have time" to do anything else in our busy lives. But its about making a commitment to yourself to follow through to meet the goals you set when you started this journey.

You have to MAKE time to make it work, just like anything else. You have to MAKE time to send with your kids, or special time with your mate. You have to MAKE time to enjoy those little hobbies you like or watch your favorite program.

If you WANT it bad enough, you'll MAKE time to workout to burn the calories you need to help you lose the weight so you can be the sexy YOU that you want to be!!

Tell it like it is Sister! AMEN!
  • Yep. I hear ya. I get up at 530 sometimes so I can get my workout in before hubby goes to work and I take little guy to school. You do what you gotta do if you want to see results right?

So much truth in this thread.

My work schedule is ridiculously unpredictable, and 16 hours days aren't unheard of. Even still, I make damn sure I have the time to lift four times per week. Those who 'just don't have the time' are generally just making excuses to justify their sorry physical condition to themselves. I can think of a few exceptions, but they are few and far between.

    +1!!!

I get to the gym by 4 in order to get 90 minutes in before work. I don't like having to get up so early, but its necessary in order to get the workout in.

Exactly! I get up at 4am on workdays, 6am on Saturday to get my workouts in. I am a single mom, work full time, have a daughter involved in competitive cheer, and I still manage to get all my workouts in and compete as a figure athlete.

People who say they "don't have time" are my #1 pet peeve!
