40-60+ year old women - Let's sprint to the holidays!

My MFP pals and I are doing a weight-loss sprint to the holidays, each with our own goals, and if you want to join us for support and ideas, please add me. We're mostly 40-60+ women, with everything that implies, and we're also interested in cooking and eating healthy, delicious food -- not diet & fake stuff.

Come join us in our sprint to the holidays! ;c)

Count me in! I'm turning 50 on Christmas eve, and my bday present to myself is to be in healthy BMI range for first time in 11 years! That means at least another 19 lbs. by Christmas.

We're gonna do this! Maturity is a huge asset in the fat fighting arena!

Coming a little late to this thread, partly because I don't post a lot and in part also because the threads turn over so fast I probably missed when it first posted. Like MerriNoel I'm a Christmas Eve baby. I'll be 46 this year. I'm also a displaced Texan in the mid-West, and since the move about 3 years ago, I only see my extended family about once a year. The last time I saw any of them was the first day or two of July. I joined MFP about 2 weeks later, so none of them know what I've been up to or what my goals are. I put up a blog message about my thoughts... about 10 days or less ago my immediate family decided to go back to Texas for Christmas, and now I really want to reach 50 pounds lost by the time I see them, probably 12/22 or 12/23. I'm down between 33 and 34 pounds currently, but if a little extra chat helps move me forward, I'm all for it. Let's go, ladies!

Well, as of this morning, I have surpassed that goal! I am down 51.4 pounds. I posted an actual picture of myself in my avatar for the first time since joining. I will get around to loading some older pics soon for anyone interested in comparing. I'd like to lose a bit more in the next 2 weeks, but I hesitate to set a goal because things are super stressful at work, lots of overtime, and a lot to get done both at work and home before leaving town. So for now my goal will be to at least maintain through the 2 weeks and the trip and to set a new progress goal for February 1 after I get back.

How about any others here? Working your way to your Sprint goal?
