That's just the first few I found! People vary quite a bit in whether they call it a Crockpot or a Slow Cooker, so when you're searching for recipes try using both terms.0 -
3 - 4 pounds of chicken with the skin removed (I use thighs because we like dark meat)

1 jar of salsa (I use medium becauase we like it a bit on the spicy side)
1 pack of taco seasoning
cook on low all day...oh how good0 -

• 1 cup organic apple juice
• 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Here are two that I really love:
Chili:
1 packet McCormick Slow Cookers Chili Seasoning
2 lbs lean ground turkey or beef
2 15oz cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed (rinsing them for one minute removes 40% of the sodium)
2 14 oz cans diced tomatoes, with liquid
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
Brown ground meat in a skillet.
Drain fat from meat and discard.
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4. Makes approximately 8 1 cup servings, about 290 calories each.
Slow Cooker Parmesan Risotto:
Makes approximately 4 1 cup servings at 186 calories each.

Saw a Betty Crocker Healthy Slow Cooker Recipes book on clearance at Target today for $13. It was in a display next to the slow cookers in my store, rather than the book section. Maybe a few of you can still take advantage of it.0

I need easy crockpot recipes for the fall season. Anyone have a favorite?
There are lots of crockpot recipes out on the web. I seem to mostly use mine to cook up a batch of meat for the week. I just add water, salt, pepper, garlic, onions and let it cook all day or all night. It makes delicious shredded meats for salads, tacos, sandwiches, or just heating up with some broth and then adding a little avocado or whatever for something simple.
Have fun! There is nothing like coming home or waking up to the smell of savory food in the crockpot.0 -

Chicken Chili
3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can tomatoes and chilies
1 can tomato sauce
1 can drained corn (can also use frozen)
1 onion chopped
1 packet taco seasoning
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
Put everything BUT the chicken breasts in the crock pot and stir it. Then place chicken breasts (I use frozen) on top. Let it cook for six hours. Shred the chicken breasts and cook for another 30 minutes or so.0 -

I found the most amazing and easy recipe about a week ago. The original recipe wasn't very healthy, but by changing a few ingredients to low/no fat and adding some beans, that made it quite healthy and yummy!
Italian Chicken
12-16 oz frozen chicken breast
1 can reduced sodium cream of chicken soup (condensed)
1 can water
1 packet Good Seasonings italian dressing mix
1 can small white beans (or any other beans you like)
4 oz fat free cream cheese (room temp)
Mix soup, water and seasoning in the bottom of your crock pot until smooth. Add chicken and beans. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low or 3-5 hours on high. Remove and shred chicken, then dump back into crock pot. 30 minutes before serving, cut cream cheese into cubes and add to crock pot. Stir until all cheese is melted and everything is combined nicely. Serve.
Makes 6 servings
You could serve this over rice or pasta, but I like it on it's own! One serving is less than 200 calories! Add a salad on the side and you have an awesome, filling meal for 300 some calories (assuming you use dressing and other add-ons in your salad)!0 -

roast
lipton soup mix (my fav is beefy onion and savory herb and garlic)
carrots
potatoes
rosemary
salt
pepper
garlic
water/beef broth
Since I am trying to eat a healthier...i would go for low sodium
put the quartered potatoes in the bottom of the pot
roast on top
add the carrots
sprinkle on the soup mix.
add in to taste, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary any other spices.. ms. dash is amazing if you are watching salt intake
pour in between a cup to two cups of the broth/water.. the crock pot will be about 1/4 to 1/2 full of liquid...the meat will make juice and the soup mix will thicken slightly
Usually cook on low for 8-10 hours....at the end of the cooking cycle....If you want dumplings, open a can of cheapy biscuits (or make up your own), drop them into the liquid and put the lid back on for about 15 minutes. make sure they are not doughy and enjoy!!!0 -
