After being upset with gaining 5 lbs, losing it , gaining it...etc. etc... and getting pretty disillusioned with maintenance, my body surprises me and instead of me doing what I planned- 6 pullups, I did 13.

Makes me remember not to get hung up on weight. I have come far.I am getting stronger! It was awesome. As soon as I jumped off, I realized I had an audience around the pullup bar.

"wow!'

"can you teach me?"

Except I have no idea how I did it!

Happy nontheless. Take that scale! I even gained 1lb today, but I gained 7 extra pullups as well!

I know some people do progressions. Inverted rows, keep putting the bar up..etc. Or do negatives.....or assisted....I did none of the above.

Me? When I first started a few years ago I put a pullup bar outside my bathroom. I would make myself try to do at least 5 before I would let myself go pee..lol.

In 3 weeks I went from 0..and then one day I just skipped over doing 1 pullup to doing 3. In 3 weeks. Then I worked my way to 6 and stuck there for a LONG time.I worked up to 10, 2 years ago but got injured and dropped down to 5 where I was ...up until NOW!
