Any time in history, any place, where would you be at?

As for me, I would have loved living in Medieval times, assuming I was a buff guy and knew how to fight. I am intrigued by the Medieval Age, the whole bit. Swords, Jousting, Armor, horses, wildland, hunting and fishing. I mean, how cool would it be to learn to shoot a bow and arrow and make a living on it, eh?

I'd love visiting any time in history, I'd love to see the lives of primeval people, learn their way of life and see what neanderthals were really like... I find it super interesting.

The "Roaring 20's" I would own a speak easy and the only color that would matter would be the green they customers spent as we drank danced and partied the decade away

Ooh, yeah. I would love to see how the hell they build those fancy structures. Our country's most important buildings are framed on the works of ancient Greece, as are a ton of others around the world. They set the template for modern architecture.

I just read a great book by Michael Crighton (sp?) called "Timeline" (it was also made into a movie). I learned soooo much about medieval times in this book, mostly because Crighton is always good with being factual about history in his novels. I think you'd like it, diligentjosh. :)

As for me, I'd love to visit (but not live there!) the pioneer days to witness how people made do with so little.

Most history sucks... I wouldn't want to be anywhere there.
