Ive just downloaded the app to my phone, where do i put my phone? do i carry in hand or put in pocket?, how does it really work out how many calories you've burned off, as ive had a pedometer before & you had to take a stride for it to calculate how many calories you would be burning :)

    Does anyone use this?
  • I just started using it and I love it. Buy an armband carrier that you can place your phone to wear while working out.

I have an arm band (holder). You can also play music while you workout. And Endomondo wit connect to a number of different BlueTooth HRMs.

Armband is the best option to keep it handy for runs or walks. You can just put on a machine if you use a treadmill, elliptical, or something similar. I also would highly recommend using the app with a heart rate monitor as it will give you the most accurate calorie count. I use the Zephyr HXM bluetooth monitor and have had very little trouble with it. There is a review on my blog for more detail. Good luck.

I've been using Endomondo for a while now and love it. It is very accurate on the horizontal distance, a tad off on the vertical (for instance, when I have the same start and stop point somehow I don't make it back to the same height I started, lol). The coaching feature is fun, too, when I am trying to beat past times. I carry it in my pocket, but plan to upgrade to an arm band.
