New/Old Member.

I have been on this journey many, many times before. Start, restart, start, [insert 1000 more times here]. I lost 30 lbs. (167-137) 2 years ago. I have maintained around 139-142 for the past year. I am DONE with this maintenance/plateau. I tried MFP a while back, never consistently. This time I will make an honest effort.

I am 5'3, ~142 lbs., and 23 years old. I am a grad student studying speech pathology and I live in Florida. I like to run, crossfit, and do yoga. I am running the "Run for your Lives! 5k Obstacle Course" in Orlando on November 17th. I thought it would be fun to find others running it (I'm kinda nervous lol).

OH and I am getting married 4/6/13 to my high school sweetheart!

I think that about sums it up! I am really excited to re-start this a final time and reach my goals (120 lbs. with a 210 lb. deadlift ;))!

well i've got like 6 inches on you also so it's probably proportional that you are lifting what you are compared to me.

now, overhead squats... i am so weak. i still can't do just the reg 20k bar with proper form and depth. front and back squats are so much easier.

keep working and adding 1-2k at a time and you will definitely get there.

I can totally relate! I lost about 40 pounds over 5 years ago (from 170 to 130) and maintained in the 130s for a few years, then went up to the 140s for another few years. I got married a year ago and just weighed myself to find I'm over 150. YIKES. Never thought I'd be back above that number again. So I'm starting again on MFP and will hopefully be able to lose some weight and stay sane. I'm also 5'3" btw.

I love to bike, take long walks outside, jog occasionally. I used to do yoga and want to get back into it. Feel free to add me as a friend. Good luck with your goals!

Thank you so much! Also thanks for the add :) I wasn't on here too much this weekend (hence the reason I need friends on here LOL) Accountability needed.

Overhead squats I use the 35 lb bar. They are so difficult for me mainly because of the "balance" aspect. :) We will get there!
  • added! i'm basically in the same boat :)
